About us

ifm prover gmbh was founded in 1997 as a subsidiary within the ifm group of companies to develop and produce sensors for process engineering. The company originally started with flow and pressure sensors, but has expanded its product portfolio considerably over the years. Today, the portfolio also includes temperature sensors, level sensors, compressed air sensors and flow sensors.

The headquarters of ifm prover gmbh are located in Tettnang, where most of the approximately 730 employees work. There are also locations in Romania and the USA, which were founded in 2017 and 2015 respectively. ifm prover gmbh is the specialist for process sensor technology within the ifm Group and accounts for around one third of the Group's product business.

The products of ifm prover gmbh are used in various industries, including the food and beverage industry, machine tool manufacturing and manufacturers of mobile machinery. In recent years, the company has continuously invested in the expansion of its office and production space to accommodate its growth.
